If you are not registered by January 10, 2025 you will be placed on the wait list and will be assigned to a team based on limited availability according to your date of (late) registration.
We do this for a few reasons:
For these reasons we may wait until there are enough wait-listers to place on every team within a division, so there is no guarantee that someone will come off the wait list.
Our home fields are located on the Desert Shadows Middle School campus. All our games and practices are located on one of our fields. Games are typically in the evenings beginning Monday through Friday or on Saturday mornings. Teams typically have 1-2 games per week.
For our Tee Ball and Rookie Divisions we try to honor friend requests and pairing of schools when establishing the rosters. For Farm, Minor and Majors we are required by Little League to have the Managers draft their Team.
Absolutely! Being a 100% volunteer 501(c)3 league we relay on sponsorships to keep our fields and operations in the best condition possible. Please reach out directly when registering if you have interest.
In the middle of January the League Age 7+ players will complete the skills assessment. Shortly after the Managers for Farm, Minors and Majors will be part of the draft and make the roster selections. Rosters for those Divisions with Tee Ball and Rookie will then be sent out towards the end of January for practices to begin. Our Opening Day for Spring 2025 will be on Saturday, February 22nd. The season will then last into early/mid May.
These are not tryouts. Everyone that is registered to play is in! We just want to make sure you, as a player, are evaluated based on your current skill level to ensure safety and optimum skill development with one of our many excellent coaches.
The Skills Assessments are required for players who are league age 7 and above and will include the following:
Skills Assessments for the 2024 Spring Ball season will be held on Sunday January 12, 2025. Each Player will be provided a time slot a few days prior to the event.
Players are not able to be drafted unless they complete this assessment, but if there are any extenuating circumstances (illness, injury, etc.) that prevents a player from signing up for a spot, please contact Player Agent Matt Petersen via email at playeragent@cactushorizon.com
Any specific questions can be directed to Jared Langenhuizen at president@cactushorizon.com
A player must either live (or attend school) within Cactus Horizon Little League boundaries to be eligible to play in our League.

If your child is interested in joining a Little League team, there are a few important things you will need to know about registration. Being prepared for Little League registration is important to make sure the day goes as smoothly as possible and to make sure your child makes the team they like. No one enjoys a stressful registration process!
You will need to be able to provide proof of where your child lives, or where they attend school, and a proof of age. What information you need to bring may also depend on whether you are registering where your child lives or where they go to school, as they may not always be the same area. This may mean you need to bring school records to show proof of where your child attends school. When registering where your child, you must have 3 or more of the following current documents (dated within the last 12 months) to provide acceptable proof of identity are:
Remember, if you are registering your child based on their school location, you MUST provide the School Enrollment Waiver. You must also have a proof of age document to register for both in town and by school.
Registration is not complete until eligibility is verified, and all necessary documents are reviewed. Download the forms below, and either submit them to docs@cactushorizon.com or present them in person at one of the doc check events. Watch our events page for doc check opportunities.
